i've often heard that jehovah looks over his people like a parent watching over a child.
why doesn't a parent step in when the children are killing each other?.
Some children don't have fathers, so they invent a father in their mind so as not to feel left out.
They tell their mates at school about their father and make up stories about things they have done together.
They have messages written down that they claim their absent father sent to them.
Because the father is figment of their imagination no one ever sees him and he never talks to the child or helps him/her out of difficulties.
An invisible father exists only in the imagination.
i never understood the point of being good and righteous if the only punishment for not doing so was "nothing" i would die and nothing would happen.
just nothing, no hell, no pain, no regret... just nothing.. on the other hand if i am good.... i have to deal with the jw's and their rules and boring meetings forever!!!
no worldly girls to sneak around with on saturday night.. no keg parties to sneak off too on friday?....
The only place you need to be good - is in bed!

I mentioned Toyota in a recent thread asking why the god of the bible takes no responsibility for the failure of Adam and Eve to function as they were created to and the suffering and death that has followed (according to the fall from grace and redemption theory)
Toyota have put their hand up and said they are sorry and will do all they can to do better in future. No shifting of blame to the people that made faulty electrical components. No blaming the workers. They take total responsibility for their creation. The blame goes to the top.
If imperfect humans can stand up and be counted...well you can work the rest out.
Perhaps Toyota are worthy of our worship?

ok. me and friends are going to attend a memorial on 30 march.. what would be the best way to get our message across?.
should we just throw a hundred flyers into the hall in the middle of the memorial?.
should we drink the wine and eat all the bread and then stand up and say something?.
Whatever faults Jehovah's Witnesses have, they should be shown the same respect that is due at any religious ceremony, whatever our personal beliefs.
It is not appropriate to use such an occasion to vent personal anger. Such a display is likely to strengthen their faith and convince them that the devil has taken over all ex-members.
we were supposed to "love" jehovah god.
we were taught how wonderful a god he is and how fortunate we were to be his people.
of course, you can't see jehovah god.

As real as the ghost I kept under my bed whilst growing up to be a gladiator.
last summer there was a big upset caused by an article (july ,ithink) in the awake about a hindu lady that upset her family by leaving her religion and joining jehovahs witnesses and the ironic thing was it had the above quote in it , that someone should not have to choose between family and religion !
i printed the article off and underlined that section , and recently sent it to my inlaws along with a letter , because they are upset about not seeing their grandchild because they banned their son from the house (he sdisfellowshipped) i am trying to sort the situation out , and i thought they might notice the hypocrisy in the article , however that idea did not work as apparently" there are lies on the internet !
" and father in law was not very happy to receive it , but it is from an awake magazine ,watchtower literature !
You shouldnt have to choose between your religion and family !
The good news is you don't have to.
I left the JW set up and managed to get rid of my religion and my family at the same time.
You could call it - a double blessing! It is normal for me to be lucky because I have many false gods to look after me, which is why I have survived as a gladiator for more than 2000 years.
i recently started dating this guy, tonight he wants to come over and spend the night with me.
but he absourlutly refuses to make any other plans to see me beyond that!.
is this normal?
This mystery guy realizes that once you have been with him you will not want him again.
He knows he is not a gladiator in bed and his experience is that women do not want to meet him again after they have found out how poor his performance is, hence his reticence to arrange a re-match.
